Description and Accountabilities:

The primary role of the Account Manager is to support our company’s goals of revenue growth and enhancing customer confidence through exceptional sales and customer service. This role encompasses the following key responsibilities:

  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing and past customers, acting as their advocate and fostering trust.
  • Lead Qualification: Effectively qualify, estimate, and follow up on all inbound leads, demonstrating a deep understanding of customer needs and project fitment.
  • Customer Quote Management: Set and communicate customer quote timelines, ensuring accurate and efficient estimation using our systems and processes. Clearly define scope, assumptions, and provide timely responses to quote requests.
  • Partner with the Project Manager to ensure final project scope matches client needs and assumptions.
  • Follow-Up: Maintain a strict schedule for timely quote follow-ups, tracking progress from lead qualification to “Awarded” or “Job Lost,” providing clear notes and reasons for status.
  • Customer Engagement: Maintain close customer contact until a verbal or email award confirmation is received, and request all necessary documents for formal project award.
  • Sales Activities: Set appointments, follow up on leads, and track progress towards meeting sales goals.
  • CRM Utilization: Effectively use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to manage leads and sales activities.
  • Sales Quota: Consistently achieve sales quota to ensure revenue and growth objectives are met.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales activities and results to management.
  • Coordination Team Handoff: Ensure accurate and complete quote and customer information handoff to the Coordination Team.
  • Customer Insights: Proactively reach out to current and past customers to understand their procurement processes, decision-making, and referral opportunities.
  • Marketing Support: Contribute to marketing efforts by expanding your customer and referral network and participating in outreach activities.
  • Operations Support: Collaborate with the Operations Team to gather feedback from customers and confirm satisfaction, aiding in process improvement efforts.
  • Networking: Build a strong network pipeline and maintain long-term relationships with prospects and partners through outbound outreach.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay updated with product and service information and communicate features to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales and account management.
  • Demonstrated experience exceeding sales goals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Knowledge of office furniture or installation services is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Comp Range: Base salary plus commission $50k to $100k+
